As we honor the generations who invested in the development of symphonic music, we also celebrate their traditions of innovation and progress by looking ahead to preserve access to symphonic music for future generations.
Our stated purpose is “to cultivate a love of the musical arts.” This purpose drives our concert and educational programming. This singular desire to introduce the magic of the musical arts to as many people as possible attracts partners eager to support the cause.

The Lakeland Symphony Orchestra is committed to nurturing a community-wide appreciation for the musical arts that will persist for generations. As we have done for decades, we will continue to work toward making symphonic experiences available in every corner of our community.
By cultivating partnerships with the Lakeland Arts Alliance, we can create complementary opportunities to experience classical music through installations in venues such as the Polk Museum of the Arts. Programmatically, we offer free family-oriented events such as our annual Cookie Concert, Pops Concert, and FOSSILS! Concert.
